How Long Will My Roof Replacement Take?

For most Cincinnati homes, a full roof replacement takes 1 to 3 days. That said, several factors can affect the timeline — and knowing what to expect helps you plan accordingly.

Factors That Affect the Timeline

  • Roof size: A standard single-story home (1,500–2,000 sq ft of roof) is typically a 1–2 day job. Larger or multi-story homes may take 2–3 days.
  • Roof complexity: Multiple peaks, valleys, dormers, or skylights add time.
  • Decking condition: If we discover damaged decking during tear-off, repairs add time before new materials go on.
  • Weather: We never rush a job to beat weather — if conditions aren't right, we reschedule to protect the quality of your install.
  • Material availability: Most standard materials are in stock; specialty products may add lead time.

What Does the Process Look Like?

Here's what a typical Bogan Roofing replacement project looks like day by day:

  • Day 1: Crew arrives, protects landscaping and property, tears off old roofing, inspects decking, installs underlayment.
  • Day 1–2: New roofing system installed — shingles, flashing, ridge caps, and all components.
  • Final Day: Cleanup, magnetic nail sweep, final walkthrough with you, and photos of the completed roof.

We keep you informed throughout. You'll know our arrival time, what's happening each day, and when we're done — no surprises.
